CHOCOLATE
BROWNIES
- 5 oz. unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1/4 cups unsalted butter
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 5 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 cups chopped pecans
Melt
chocolate, butter and pinch of salt in double boiler. In a large
mixing bowl cream together sugar, eggs and vanilla. Gradually
add chocolate mixture to the sugar, continuing to mix well. Toss
the nuts with a small amount of the flour to prevent them from
falling to the bottom of the batter. Fold in the flour and flour
coated nuts. Place batter in a well greased and floured 9"
square pan. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 35 - 45 minutes or
until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve
