Plimsoll Club cordially invites you to enjoy a Steak Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 26

Join us for our Steak Dinner Dance on Saturday, October 26. Enjoy dancing to the music of Herb Tassin from 7:00 PM until 11:00 PM. The cost of this delicious four-course feast is only $43.95 per person!

We offer a choice of two appetizers, a refreshing salad, choice of entrˇe and a fabulous dessert buffet, including Bananas Foster.

Make your reservations for the time you prefer at 7:00 PM., 7:30 PM or 8:00 PM by calling Shelly Cantrelle at 529-1701 during the hours of 8:30 am to 4:00 PM.

If you must cancel, please do so by Thursday, October 24 by noon and be sure to ask for your cancellation number to avoid billing to your WTC account.

Enjoy an Octoberfest Luncheon Buffet at The Plimsoll Club on Friday, October 11

Join us at the Plimsoll Club on Friday, October 11 for an Octoberfest luncheon buffet.

Start with Lentil or Potato Leek soup, then choose from German potato salad, herring in sour cream and many other delectable dishes from our salad bar. To accompany this Octoberfest feast, we will serve Beck's German beer for $3.25 per bottle.

This delicious buffet is only $19.95. Our specialty buffets are always sellouts, so reserve your table now! Note: Due to this special luncheon event, the a la carte menu will not be offered.

To make reservations, call Shelly Cantrelle at 529-1701 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. or Gene Diaz after 4:00 p.m.

Cancellations should be received no later than noon on Thursday, October 10. Please ask for your cancellation number to avoid billing to your account. As always, complimentary validated parking is available in the WTC garage.

NOVEMBER 15 GALA DINNER DANCE HONORING THE CONSULAR CORPS

The Louisiana Department of Economic Development, the WTC, and other organizations are holding the annual Gala Dinner Dance Honoring the Consular Corps on Friday, November 15, 2002.

This special black tie event will be held in the Plimsoll Club starting with cocktails, followed by a splendid gourmet dinner presented in the Club's finest tradition. The five-course menu includes: le panier de champignons sauvage, la salade d'epinard, le filet mignon aux deux sauces, les petits lˇgumes de saison, and le gateau opˇra.

Live music by the Jimmy Maxwell Band and dancing will top off this memorable evening, so mark your calendars! For reservations or information call 529-1601, ext. 222.

 

Take a Prospective Member to Lunch Free!

As an added incentive to participate in this year's Membership Campaign, members may invite prospective members to experience the Plimsoll Club's world-class lunch buffet free of charge from September through December. (Please note that only one meal per reservation will be complimentary.) Membership Campaign Offers You A Dream Vacation To Paris!

The WTC's annual membership campaign has begun, so don't miss this opportunity to make your travel dream come true!

The member who sponsors the most new members between September 1 and December 31 will win the grand prize ----- round-trip tickets for two on Air France to Paris, plus a three night stay.

It's easier than you think! Simply send the WTC Membership Department by mail, fax (529-1691) or email (nrideau@wtcno.org) the names and addresses of your prospective members. Our staff will then follow-up with individually tailored letters, inviting your friends and colleagues to become WTC members. It's that simple! Each time a prospect whom you sponsor becomes a member, you will also receive a $50 gift certificate for food and beverages in the Plimsoll Club!

In addition, the second place winner will receive a two-night stay at the luxurious Beau Rivage in Biloxi, including dinner for two at La Cucina and two tickets to the featured show at the time.

Oppenheimer Funds Manager To Speak On Global Markets

William L. Wilby, Director of Global Equities with OppenheimerFunds Inc. in New York, will speak at a special luncheon program in the Plimsoll Club on Friday, October 4 on "Global Stocks: Is the Bear Market Over?"

OppenheimerFunds is the 9th largest U.S mutual fund company, with assets under management of $127 billion. Bill Wilby heads the global equity investment team at Oppenheimer, which manages over $14 billion in 20 global and international mutual funds and has been consistently ranked as one of the best international management teams in the U.S. mutual fund industry. In addition to heading the team, Mr. Wilby personally manages the $8.4 billion Oppenheimer Global Fund and the $2.2 billion Global Securities Fund/VA.
