Come
explore Spain, the land of the conquistadors, a treasure chest
of arts and culture pulsing with the rhythm of flamenco and
crowned by the artistic legacies of Goya, Velazquez, Picasso,
El Greco and Dali. A nation that left its cultural imprint on
New Orleans' food, architecture, and personality. Join fellow
WTC members and their families for an attractively-priced
group package to Spain offering a specially-tailored itinerary
for WTC members.
Our
adventure will begin in Madrid, where we will stay for five
nights in the five-star Palace Hotel located in the heart of
the city, just opposite the Prado and Thyssen Bornemisza
museums. Highlights include tours of these world-class art
collections and the Royal Palace. Special excursions have also
been arranged to the palaces of La Granja de San Ildefonso,
San Lorenzo de Escorial and the historic city of Toledo.
Then
we're on to Seville by high speed train via Cordoba where you
will visit the famous Mezquita. Our home in Seville will be
the five-star Hotel Alphonso XIII where we will be staying
three nights. A fine blend of Spanish and Moorish
architecture, the Alphonso XIII has long been one of Spain's
most famous hotels. Highlights in Seville will include the
Reales Alcazares and Giralda.
This
customized tour package is $2,725 per person double occupancy
($945 single supplement) plus $758 airfare on Delta. The land
cost includes five-star hotel accommodations, breakfast,
tours, first-class high speed train from Madrid to Seville,
four receptions, farewell dinners in Madrid and Seville and
all transfers and taxes.
Please
note that the trip will be held for a minimum of 25 and
maximum of 40 participants. Actual prices will depend on the
final number of participants. Reservations are on a
first-come, first-serve basis with deposit of $400 per
couple/individual.
For
more information, please call WTC Membership Director Natalie
Rideau at (504) 529-1601, ext. 226.
