The Plimsoll Club cordially invites you to a Lobster Dinner Dance on Saturday, August 11

Join us for a romantic evening of dinner and dancing at our popular lobster dinner dance on Saturday, August 11.

Make reservations for the time you prefer between 7:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. by calling Shelly Cantrelle at the Plimsoll Club at 529-1701.

The cost of this delicious four-course feast is only $42.50 per person!

We offer a choice of two appetizers, a refreshing salad, a boiled one-and-three-quarter-pound Maine lobster that has been cracked and loosened from its shell, saffron rice pilaf, french bread and butter, and a buffet of splendid desserts.

Enjoy dancing from 7:00 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. to the music of the Joe Simon's Jazz Inc.

If you must cancel, please do so by noon on Thursday, August 9 and ask for your cancellation number to avoid billing to your WTC account.

As always, complimentary validated parking is available in the WTC garage.

Enjoy A Taste Of France Lunch Buffet August 17

Join us at the Plimsoll Club for "A Taste of France" luncheon buffet on Friday, August 17.

The menu will include French specialities such as Salad Nicoise, Pate Maison, Vichysoise, Potage St.Germain, Leg of Lamb Provencal, Tilapia Grenobloise, Coq au Vin, Filet de Boeuf en Brochette, Fondantes potatoes, Haricots verts, Cherries jubilee, assorted French desserts, and much more.

This sumptuous buffet is offered to our members and their guests for only $18.95!

No French meal would be complete without a glass of wine as we offer you from the Loire Valley, Chinon Red and Muscadet White for only $3.00 per glass.

As always, complimentary validated parking is available in the WTC garage for four hours during lunch.

Make reservations by calling Shelly Cantrelle from 8:30 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at 529-1701.

Cancellations must be received by noon on Thursday, August 16 to avoid billing to your account. Please ask for your cancellation number.

 

TRAVEL TO SPAIN WITH THE WTC

It's not too late to join fellow WTC members and their families for an attractively priced group package to Madrid and Barcelona from November 2-10. Highlights included customized tours of the Prado and Thyssen Bornemisza museums, the Royal Palace in Madrid, the palaces of La Granja de San Ildefonso, San Lorenzo de Escorial and visits to the Salvador Dali Museum and Antoni Gaudi's Sagrada Famillia Basilica.

This special tour package is $3,839 ($1,089 single supplement) plus $973 airfare on Delta. The land cost includes five-star hotel accommodations, breakfast, tours, flight from Madrid to Barcelona, three receptions, a classical guitar concert, farewell dinner and all transfers and taxes. NEW "INTERNATIONAL TABLE" IN PLIMSOLL CLUB DINING ROOM

As a reminder, when dining alone for lunch, be sure to ask for our new International Table". This will allow our members the opportunity to meet other members of the World Trade Center. Please mention when calling Shelly if you would like to be seated at this table.

VOLUNTEER TO BE A FOOD CRITIC!

We know that Plimsoll Club members know good food when they taste it, so we invite all dining enthusiasts to be restaurant critics and participate in the 2001 Zagat Survey of New Orleans Restaurants. In appreciation of your participation, Zagat Surveys will send you a copy of the guide when it is published. To obtain a copy of the survey, call Membership Director Natalie Rideau at 529-1601 ext. 226.

WTC & PLIMSOLL CLUB EVENTS

Mr. Ronnie Kole delights the audience with some selections from his Music of the Vines CD at the July 12 luncheon in his honor.

 

Consul General of France Bernard Maizeret, confers upon composer and musician Ronnie Kole the rank of Chevalier in the Order of Arts and Letters at a special French theme luncheon held in the Plimsoll Club on July 12.

The PC's Summer Hours

The Plimsoll Club will be open for lunch but will be closed for dinner (except for special event dinners) during the first two weeks of August.

The club will be closed completely for the last two weeks of August, beginning Monday, August 20, and will reopen for lunch and dinner on Tuesday, September 4.
