From Monday, December 18 through Friday, December 22, the Plimsoll Club will feature a special holiday luncheon buffet for just $18.95.
In addition to our boiled shrimp, smoked salmon, soups, carved items and flambeed dessert station, the menu will also include special holiday salads, a yule log and many traditional treats.

Note: Due to this special luncheon event, the a la carte menu will not be offered. To make reservations, call Mirela Hodge at 529-1701 from 9:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. or Marc Garcia from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

As always, complimentary validated parking is available in the WTC garage.


Sample a Taste of Maine December 8

Join us at the Plimsoll Club for a luncheon buffet overflowing with delicacies from Maine and the northeastern United States on Friday, December 8.

The cost is only $19.95 per person. Our specialty luncheons are always sellouts, so reserve your tables now! Note: Due to this special event, the a la carte menu will not be offered.

To make reservations, call Mirela Hodge at 529-1701 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. and Marc Garcia from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

Cancellations must be received by noon on Wednesday, December 6 or full billing will apply. Ask for your cancellation number.

To complement this "no-bib" feast, we will be offering a special wine by the glass, Cambria Chardonnay at $3.95 per glass.

Celebrate New Year's Eve with Fireworks & Fun

Dine, dance, watch the fireworks and enjoy the city's New Year's Eve celebration from the unparalleled vantage point of the Plimsoll Club. An exciting evening is planned.

8:30 - 9:30 p.m. -- Cocktail party in the Galvez Room with music by Sun Kim string trio.

9:15 p.m. -- A fabulous New Year's Eve buffet.

9:30 p.m. -- 1:30 a.m. -- Dancing to the music of A.J. Monistere and the Sounds of Rhythm.

Midnight -- Riverfront fireworks display.

The cost of this festive evening is $125.00 per person, including the cocktail party and dinner. Complimentary hats and noisemakers will be distributed as midnight nears. Formal wear is optional. To make reservations, call 529-1701. Changes and cancellations must be made by noon on Thursday, December 28 or your account will be charged for the entire original reservation. Fresh Hope Campaign Exceeds Expectations

The Under 35 Network's "Fresh Hope" Campaign to collect toiletry items for homeless and battered women's shelters in New Orleans was a resounding success! WTC members, friends, and companies contributed both time and resources to the effort which resulted in over 4,000 items being collected and donated the week of Thanksgiving to The Care Center, The New Orleans Mission, The Metropolitan Battered Women's Program, and the YWCA's Battered Women's Program. U.S. Ambassador to Bolivia to Speak at December 7 Dinner

The U.S. Ambassador to Bolivia, The Hon. V. Manuel Rocha, will be the speaker at a special dinner to be held at the Plimsoll Club on Thursday, December 7 starting at 7:00 p.m. (cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m.) The subject of Amb. Rocha's presentation will be "Doing Business in Bolivia."

Amb. Rocha was sworn in as U.S. Ambassador to Bolivia on July 14, 2000. From October 1997 until this appointment, he served as Charge d'Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Buenos Aires, Argentina. From July to October 1997, he was Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy. Amb. Rocha also has served as Deputy Principal Officer of the U.S. Interests Sector Havana, Cuba, as well as the Director for Inter-American Affairs at the National Security Council in Washington, D.C., from 1991 until 1994.

Amb. Rocha was the Deputy Chief of Mission for the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Prior to that, he was Deputy Political Counselor for the U.S. Embassy in Mexico City. Amb. Rocha began his career as a desk officer for Honduras with the Department of State in 1981. In 1983, he was appointed as a Political Officer for the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo. He went on to serve as a Watch Officer in the Operations Center of the Department of State and as a Consul for Political and Economic Affairs for the U.S. Consulate General in Florence, Italy. In 1987, he was appointed Politico-Military Officer for the U.S. Embassy in Teguecigalpa, Honduras.

He graduated cum laude from Yale University in 1973, received his Master's Degree in Public Administration from Harvard University in 1976, and a Master's Degree in International Relations from Georgetown University in 1978.
