The
Plimsoll Club's Executive Chef Keith Faulkner welcomes Executive
Chef Rene Bajeux and Executive Pastry Chef Lisa Liggett from the
Grill Room of Windsor Court Hotel for our special Guest
Chef luncheon
on Friday, November 10.
Executive Chef Rene Bajeux brings a new level of cuisine to the
Grill Room. Elected by his peers as a prestigious Master Chef of
France, one of only 50 named in America, he brings a
decidedly French
flair to the restaurant's famous standard of excellence.
Chef Bajeux comes to New Orleans by way of Chicago, where he was
a partner and chef at Bistro Zino, a popular eatery
featuring both
a Cafe and Bistro. In 1993, he was named Chef of the Year in Los
Angeles.
What captured the Windsor Court's interest was his
five-year stint
with Four Season Hotels. There, he performed his culinary magic
in Maui, Hawaii, and at the five-star, five-diamond Beverly Hills
Hotel in California.
Executive Pastry Chef Lisa Liggett made desserts for
Chef Paul Prudhomme
at K-Paul's in New York and Mike's on the Avenue in New Orleans.
She worked as Assistant Pastry Chef at the Grill Room from 1990
to 1992, becoming top pastry chef at Tryall Golf,
Tennis and Beach
Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
In 1995, she returned to the Grill Room as Assistant Pastry Chef
and was promoted to Pastry Chef in 1997.
The Grill Room is the only Mobile Five-Star,
"AAA" Five-Diamond
restaurant in Louisiana.
The cost of this spectacular luncheon is only $20.95 per person.

Thanksgiving at the Plimsoll Club
The
Plimsoll Club's traditional holiday fare of turkey and stuffing,
cranberry sauce, lamb, salmon, prime rib, and bountiful desserts
will top the buffet table for a Thanksgiving Day feast
on Thursday,
November 23 that you won't want to miss.
To accommodate as many members as possible, the Club's seatings
will be a 11:45 a.m. and 2:45 p.m.
For your entertainment, a classical trio will perform. A balloon
sculpture artist will also be on hand, especially for the kids.
The cost of this fabulous event is $34.50 for adults and $12.95
for children under 10.

Christmas
is just around the corner and the time has come to book
your holiday
parties at the Plimsoll Club.
We have very few available weekend dates left for
evening parties,
so please call Pam Corrigan or Dori Singer at 529-1701 right away
to reserve space for your holiday bash.
In keeping with the holiday spirit, we have a special offer for
holiday office luncheons during the month of December.
We will give
everyone in attendance a complimentary glass of
champagne with dessert.
In addition, we will organize a drawing for a Plimsoll Club apron
colored royal blue with white lettering and piping.
This offer applies only to luncheons held in private rooms with
a banquet menu served. Group luncheons in the main dining room or
those selecting from the a la carte menu or buffet are excluded
from this offer.

the WTC garage.
