WTC
Membership Campaign Takes You Anywhere in the
World!
The
WTC's annual membership campaign kicks-off September 1.
For
this special millennium campaign, the WTC wants to truly broaden
your horizons.
The
lucky WTC member who sponsors the most new members
between September
1 and December 31 will win the grand prize -- two
round-trip tickets
anywhere in the world!
Our
campaign sponsors, United Airlines and DMI Travel, are standing
by to plan your dream vacation.
Whether
it's Tahiti or the Taj Mahal, you and your guest could
be on your
way early next year with two tickets valued up to
$5,000.
It's
easier than you think! Simply send the WTC Membership Department
by mail, fax (529-1691) or email (vbailey@wtcno.org) the names
and addresses of your prospective members.
Our
staff will then follow-up with individually tailored letters on
your behalf, inviting your friends and colleagues to become WTC
members.
It's
that simple!
And
everyone is a winner! Each time a prospect whom you
sponsor becomes
a member, you will automatically receive a $50 gift certificate
for food and beverages in the Plimsoll Club!
This
will also qualify you toward winning the grand prize taking you
"Anywhere in the World," thanks to United Airlines and
DMI Travel.
In
addition, the second place winner will receive two
round-trip tickets
on United Airlines anywhere in the United States,
valued up to $1,000.
And
our third place winner will enjoy a special dinner for eight at
the Plimsoll Club, valued up to $500.
For
additional information, details about the winning
prizes, and applications
for prospective members, call WTC Membership Director
Natalie Rideau
at (504)529-1601, ext. 226, or Marketing Assistant
Vanessa Bailey
at ext. 234.
Under
35's Bring 'Fresh Hope' for the Homeless
The
Under 35 Network, a committee of young WTC members, is launching
the "Fresh Hope Campaign," a drive to collect personal
care items
for homeless men, women and children in the New Orleans
area.
Toiletry
items will be collected at the WTC's 29th Floor Executive Office
from September 1 to November 4 and will be delivered to
the shelters
the week before Thanksgiving. (After business hours and
on weekends,
items will be collected at the WTC Lobby information
desk.)
Items
on the "wish list" include soap, shampoo, conditioner,
shower caps,
toothpaste, tooth brushes, dental floss, lotion,
deodorant, powder,
shaving cream, disposable razors, Kleenex, combs,
brushes and make-up.
All products should be unopened and in their original packaging.
(Trial sizes are preferred but not required.)
For
more information, please contact Membership Marketing Assistant
Vanessa Bailey by phone at 529-1601, ext. 234, or by
e-mail at vbailey@wtcno.org.
Louisiana
Trade Directory Posted on WTC Website
The
World Trade Center has posted the entire Louisiana International
Trade Directory, the official export-import directory
of the state
of Louisiana, on the WTC website.
It
can be accessed from the search page at
www.wtcno.org/search.
Members
have a WTC symbol next to their company names and are
sorted first
in the search results list.
The
searchable Directory contains more than 2,000 listings
of Louisiana
exporters and importers, plus a host of allied service
industries
such as foreign consulates, ports and airports,
steamship agencies,
freight forwarders, customs brokers, international
banks, chambers
of commerce, attorneys, consultants and other service providers.
If
your Louisiana-based company is presently exporting or importing
goods or services and is not already listed in the directory and
you would like to be listed at no charge, call the WTC at (504)
529-1601, ext. 254 or 271, and request a directory
questionnaire.
Any
change to your directory listing can be e-mailed to
Peter Michelini
at pmichelini@wtcno.org.
WTC
Members Issued Passwords for Members-only
Website
On
July 21, the WTC issued username and passwords for the
members-only
section of the WTC website to every WTC member and spouse member
in a mailed memorandum from Dennis Kelly and Donna
Fraiche.
If
you did not receive your username and password, please call the
WTC at (504) 529-1601, ext. 222 or 271.
Electronic
Communications from the WTC
In
an effort to streamline communications and save on
mailing costs,
the WTC has commenced a project to send virtually all
correspondence
electronically to those members who prefer e-mail to
regular mail.
This
applies to announcements, program flyers, newsletters, and other
information now conveyed to the WTC membership by regular mail.
Therefore,
if you prefer to receive your communications electronically via
brief e-mails with links to our website, please advise Susannah
Coolidge at scoolidge@wtcno.org.
