To
keep up with advances in technology, the World Trade

hyperlinks to the WTC website which contains additional
information.
We will continue to send correspondence via regular mail to WTC
members who prefer it.
For
WTC members unfamiliar with e-mail and the World Wide
Web, we are
offering a 20 percent discount on a one-day "Introduction to the
Web" class at New Horizons Computer Learning Center.
Daytime
classes (from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) are available
July 6, August
9, and August 29. Evening classes (from 4:30 to 10:30 p.m.) are
available July 13, and a Saturday class (from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30

The
Friday Plimsoll Group
WTC
members who frequent the Plimsoll Club for lunch may
have noticed
that every Friday there is a distinguished looking
group of gentlemen
dining at a riverside table who are enjoying themselves
and discussing
(and often solving by the end of their meal) all of the world's
problems.
We
thought you might like to know something about them.
The
original group began having lunch together at Arnaud's
in the early
1950s and in 1970 they moved their venue to the
International House
Club and then later to the Plimsoll Club.
The
original members of the group were: Jimmy Nelson, Jack
Petty, Jim
Wilkinson, Henry Bush, Philip Schoen, Bill Scheyd,
Edward Ecuyer,
and Phil James, Sr.
Mr.
James is still going strong at 90 and continues as a
member of the
current dining group.
The
newer members include: Creed Brierre (who joined in 1986), Larry
Boudreaux, Alan Heintzen, Bill Thomas, and Judge George
Connolly.
