Congratulations
to Sherry Landry of Locke, Liddell & Sapp, LLC, for being the first

Spring Meeting Set for April 10-14 in Italy
WTC
President Dennis Kelly invites you to join him on a Louisiana business
mission to Trieste, Italy, for the Spring Assembly of the World
Trade Centers Association from April 10-14.
This
is an excellent opportunity to make productive contacts with delegations
in attendance from all over the world and have one-on-one matchmaking
appointments with Italian companies.
Also
included in the Assembly's program are informative trade seminars
and briefings, exhibits, cultural and networking events.
With
an attractive registration fee of $300, the program also includes
an evening at the opera to see The Barber of Seville and
a dinner at a palace on the last day of the meeting. There will

New Trade Programs Manager
Susannah
Coolidge is the new WTC Manager of Trade Programs, replacing Alicia
Den Beste, who has relocated to Atlanta after three years with the
WTC.
Susannah
is a native of Boston and holds a B.A. degree from Tulane (majoring
in linguistics, minoring in French) and an M.S. in Urban Studies
from UNO.
She
served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Niger, West Africa, and for
the past five years has been working with a local travel agency
as a commercial sales executive.
Susannah
is responsible for organizing the WTC's international trade seminars,
workshops, luncheon briefings and other trade events.
She

Reciprocal
Club Update
The
World Trade Center has recently added the Genesee Valley Club in
Rochester, New York, to its list of reciprocal clubs.
The
Genesee Valley Club, which dates back to 1885, will replace the
recently closed University Club in Rochester. The Genesee Valley
Club offers an excellent dining facility for members in downtown
Rochester. Additionally, the Club has indoor and outdoor tennis,
exercise rooms, squash, billiards, a sauna and outdoor swimming
pool.
Overnight
accommodations are available at a reduced rate at the Strathallen

Annual Meeting to be Held in New Orleans
The
Inter-American Development Bank is holding its annual meeting in
New Orleans on March 23-29 to discuss lending programs that are
helping Latin American and Caribbean nations improve education,
economic growth and macro-economic stability.
The
IDB is the leading source of multilateral development financing
for the region, with last year's loans totaling $9.5 billion.
The
New Orleans forum is expected to attract more than 6,000 bankers,
corporate leaders, development officials and journalists, in addition
to the official delegations of the IDB's 46 member countries.
The
plenary sessions will be preceded by 11 official seminars on key
development issues. The World Trade Center is one of many local
and national sponsors of the IDB meeting.
