Spotlight on WTC Benefits:
Did you know that as a member of the WTC you
have a "home away from home" in over 90 cities in North
America? The WTC's reciprocal club program opens doors to an
impressive array of elegant private clubs in major cities across the
country.
In Louisiana alone, the WTC has reciprocal
relations with the City Clubs of Baton Rouge, Lafayette and Lake
Charles, the Cambridge Club of Shreveport, the Lotus Club of Monroe,
and the Petroleum Club of Morgan City.
A letter of introduction is required for use of all
private clubs in the network and can be obtained from the Membership
Department upon re quest.
One of the most popular clubs among WTC New Orleans
members is the City Club of Baton Rouge.
The City Club, which resides in a magnificent
Italian Renaissance building dating back to 1894, was formerly a post
office and federal courthouse.
In 1910, President William Howard Taft was honored
at a reception there and said, "This building represents one of
the finest examples of modern architecture today."
After many years of serving as a federal building,
and later as city parish offices, the building was remodeled to become
the City Club of Baton Rouge.
Combining a rich history with longstanding
traditions of good food and fellowship, the City Club offers WTC New
Orleans members a wonderful venue for entertaining.
For further information on the City Club of Baton
Rouge, other clubs in the network, or to request a Reciprocal Clubs
Directory, contact Natalie Rideau at 529-1601, ext. 226.
