The Plimsoll Club cordially invites you to enjoy a Festive Italian Night on Saturday, April 25

7:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. -- Cocktails, featuring Italian specialties and hors d'oeuvres, including a pasta station, in the Galvez Room. Entertainment will be provided by Ron Abel on the accordion.

7:45 p.m. -- Our fabulous buffet opens, resplendent with garlic soup, an array of salads, veal spiedini, seafood cannelloni, vegetable lasagna and seafood risotto, just to name a few. Prepared to order will be cheese ravioli marinara, rigatoni with four cheeses and fettuccine pesto. For the perfect finishing touch, cannolis, pastries and an assortment of Italian cheeses will be presented for the pleasure of your palate.

8:30 p.m. - 12:30 a.m. -- Dancing during and after dinner to the music of Herb Tassin.

The cost of this festa is only $47.00 per person, which includes the cocktail party with hors d'oeuvres, the lavish buffet and dancing music. Make your reservations by calling Claire Stockton or Marc Garcia at 529 1701.

Cancellations and changes must be received by noon on Thursday, April 23 or full billing will apply. As always, complimentary validated parking in the WTC garage is available.



Enjoy an Easter Sunday Jazz Brunch at the PC

Hunting for the best holiday buffet in town? Hop on over to the Plimsoll Club for an Easter Jazz Brunch on Sunday, April 12. We'll have baskets of bounty on the buffet, including an omelette station, soup station, seafood crepes, baked ham, roast prime rib, peeled shrimp, eggs sardou, poached salmon, strawberry blinis, cafe brulot, and a dessert table that's sure to tickle your taste buds.

The cost of this sumptuous buffet is only $28.95 for adults and $12.50 for children under 10.

During the event, you'll be entertained by The Storyville Stompers soft jazz trio and we'll have a balloon artist on hand for the kids.

We'll also organize a drawing for the kids to win Easter bunnies! (Don't panic, Mom and Dad; these rabbits don't require cages or feeding.)

Make your reservations for the time you prefer at either 11:00 a.m. or 1:30 p.m. by calling 529-1701.

Complimentary validated parking is available in the WTC garage when you present your parking ticket at the Plimsoll Club.

If you must cancel, please do so by 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, April 9. The club is closed on Good Friday, April 10.

Remember to ask for your cancellation number to avoid billing to your account.



Easy Parking at WTC Garage

The 1,000-car WTC parking garage is conveniently located on Poydras Street next to the Hilton Hotel and across the street from the WTC Building. The garage is just steps away from Riverwalk and a five-minute walk from the CBD, the Warehouse District and the French Quarter. The garage offers safe, covered parking and is accessible 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Competitively priced daily and monthly rates are available.

Appreciate Your Secretaries with a PC Buffet

Need a special treat for those who keep your offices running smoothly? Take them to our National Secretaries' Week luncheon buffet, available on Monday, April 20 through Friday, April 24.

The buffet will feature two carved items, a selection of entrees, side dishes and assorted salads and desserts (including a flambeed choice).

We'll also give you complimentary cafe brulot for everyone at the table.

Spotlight on WTC Benefits: The 10-K club

Because the WTC offers its members such a wide variety of membership benefits, we are now featuring one item each month in TradeWinds under the title of "Spotlight on WTC Benefits" to help you stay abreast of the many new and existing membership privileges.

With the summer vacation season rapidly approaching, we'd like to highlight travel benefits which may be of use to you in the coming months.

The WTC offers reciprocal privileges through a variety of U.S. and worldwide affiliations.

These privileges extend to WTCs worldwide, private clubs in the U.S. and 10-K Clubs in North America.

The following information is a summary of the 10-K Club program:

  • As a WTC member, you are eligible for a complimentary 10-K membership.
     
  • The 10-K Club is an association of private clubs designed with the frequent business and recreational traveler in mind.
     
  • As a 10-K Club member, you enjoy nonresident membership privileges at more than 170 private dining and country clubs, premiere athletic clubs and night clubs which are located more than 70 miles from your home or office.
     
  • Your 10-K Club membership also gives you access to the Entertainment/National network of hotels where you receive 50% savings at over 1,200 fine hotels and resorts in North America.
  • Please note that the membership does expire annually but can be renewed upon request.

    The WTC has the answer with its new trade leads service on the Louisiana World Trade Web (http://www.wtcno.org).

    You can find opportunities for Louisiana companies and website addresses that provide a multitude of other trade leads and trade information.

    This service is free of charge to WTC members.
